「野辺山髙原」(のべやま～、長野県)
南佐久郡、野辺山高原 。
これは小海線と国鉄（現JR）標高最高駅・ #野辺山駅 の標柱（1345.67m）、そして"高原のポニー"の愛称で知られた蒸気機関車を描く。八ヶ岳の雄大な景色と列車が美しく、ノスタルジック。全長64cm。

1, 野辺山高原のペナント。白い布にイラストをプリント。ペナントの左にクリーム色のリボン、2本付き。
2, イラストは八ヶ岳の山並みと蒸気機関車が牽引する列車。国鉄標高最高駅の標柱。
3, イラストの拡大。八ヶ岳の険しい山並みは雪山のように白いが、山麓の高原は緑でコントラストを成している。煙を上げて走る列車の蒸気機関車は実際はC56とのことだが、ディテールは不明瞭で正確ではない。"国鉄標高最高駅" の標柱はディテールも明らかに大きく描かれて、ペナントのモチーフのキャプションを兼ねている。
4, タイトルは和文。筆文字風の楷書体で "野辺山髙原" （赤） 。"髙" の字は、はしご高。キャプションは "1345.67M" （黒）で、これは野辺山駅の標高であり、国鉄標高最高地点のものではない。なお、ペナントの右端に "国定公園" （黒）を付記している。これは八ヶ岳中信国定公園を指す。

Nobeyama Highlands is located in the eastern part of the Yatsugatake Mountains. The Nobeyama Station is the highest railroad station in Japan. This pennant also shows the elevation of the station.

2, The illustration depicts a mountain range of Yatsugatake, a train pulled by a steam locomotive, and the highest elevation station marker of Japan National Railways.
3, Enlargement of the illustration. The steep mountains of Yatsugatake are as white as snow, but the plateau at the foot of the mountains is green and beautiful. The steam locomotive running with smoke is a C56, but the detail in this illustration is not accurate. "The Highest elevation station of Japan National Railways" marker is clearly drawn in large detail.
4, The title is in Japanese. The title is "Nobeyama Highlands" (red) in brush-style kanji characters. The caption is "1345.67M" (4412ft, black), which is the elevation of Nobeyama Station. The pennant is marked with "Quasi National Park" (black) on the right side.
