Mississippi born Parker McGee, a Nashville-based singer songwriter is widely known for his 1976 USA number 2 single hit song “I'd Really Love To See You Tonight" performed by England Dan & John Ford Coley.
In 1974, Tanya Tucker recorded McGee's "Depend on You" for her
album, that brought McGee to sign with Dawnbreaker Music, a family publishing outfit involving brothers Dan and Jim Seals. Before England Dan & John Ford Coley became a big star, McGee released his own solo album "Parker McGee" produced by Kyle Lehning under Big Tree Records. As a producer , McGee produced a good album "Marcus Joseph / Things I Meant To Say" in 1978.
McGee continued to write good songs in 1980’s and “American Song” recorded by Pointer Sisters on the album “So Excited” (1982) peaked at number 16 on Billboard Hot 100 on 28 August, 1982.
In 1996, we could see his name as co-producer of Randy Vanwarmer's album "Sun, Moon and Stars".
