Larry Williams & Friends / The Beautiful Struggle

The very first solo project of Larry Williams, known as Sax / Keyboard player of the legendary group "Seawind". Although everyone assume that Larry's solo album would be smooth jazz / contemporary jazz one, Larry did straight-ahead jazz. The album is opened by "Nefertti In Blue And Green" written by Wayne Shorter and Miles Davis, a tribute to them and Bill Evans."Invitation", a standard tune featuring Pauline Wilson, follows. This album includes very famous tune "'Round Midnight" written by Thelonious Monk. In addition, Larry performs 3 tunes of his own; "The Beautiful Struggle", "Love Lost" and "Straight, No Changes".
