Keane

Needless to say, I am not talking about UK alternative band Keane that appeared early 2000’s. Keane is the band of genius Keane brothers from Los Angeles, Tom Patrick Keane (born on 13 March, 1964) and John Morgan Keane (born on 26 April, 1965). As "The Keane Brothers", they released their self-titled first album for 20th century Records in 1977 produced by David Foster and supported by first call L.A. musicians including Jeff Porcaro, Mike Porcaro, Harvey Mason, Lee Sklar, Larry Carlton, Bill Champlin and mot name a few. In 1979, their second album "Taking Off" produced by Lamont Dozier , David Paich and David Foster, followed.
Two years later, Keane brothers finished their third album "Keane" under the name of the band "Keane", which was sold about 40,000 copies in Japan and in those days called as "Little Toto" or "Young Toto" for the sound of them. This is the album shown here. The brothers were just 16 and 17 years old then. The opener “Tryin' To Kill A Saturday Night” under the name of Keane Brithers” rather than the band ‘Keane” was featured on the soundtrack of the US comedy movie “Zapped!” (1982) with David Pomeranz “Got to Believe in Magic”, “King & Queen Of Hearts” and Gregg Mathieson Project “Bomp Me”.
