Sayit
Sayit Dölen, a Swedish guitarist started to play guitar in 1991 with punk rock band. Sayit asked his personal friend, Tommy Denander to help him make an album, subsequently Tommy Denander wrote bunch of songs for the album and recorded those as “demo” with no budget. In 1999, the first album was finished and released as “Sayit” which was mainly distributed by AOR Heaven, Germany.
Since the album suddenly appeared without details, I totally misunderstood that Sayit must be a project name by Tommy Denander featuring some well-known Melodic Rock singers such as Andy Eklund, the lead singer of HOUSE OF SHAKIRA known as Journey vein AOR band and Geir Roning. The vocal tunes sung by Andy Eklund such as "Hear Me Heaven" reminded me of Young Steve Perry's vocals and he perfectly covers the Journey's tune "Once You Love Somebody", On the other hand, the vocal tunes sung by Geir Ronning reminded me of mid-80's TOTO. Very comfortable Hard-driven American progressive rock album. Only if the real Drummer had played on this album, this album should have been much better, I thought.
