Rick Riso / Gotta Have The Real Thing
Rick Riso revealed his singer-songwriter / guitarist talent when he formed the CCM band “Messenger” with Si Simonson in mid 1970’s. After Messenger broke up after releasing two albums on Light Records, Riso contributed to early 1980’s CCM mainly as a songwriter and working closely with Chris Christian then.
As a vocalist, a Smooth Jazz guitarist Kenny Pore hired Riso on his albums in early / mid 1980’s. It was 1985 when Riso released his first solo album “Gotta Have The Real Thing” on Chris Christian’s Home Seeet Home.
