イギリスのエース・レコードからリリースされたソングライターに焦点を当てた企画アルバムで、ダン・ペンの書いた曲(共作を含む)を集めたものとなっている。スプーナー・オールダムとの共作した曲集は2011年にリリースされている。

曲によってはオリジナルのミュージシャンで収録されていないのが残念だが、ダン・ペンの書いた曲を1枚のアルバムで聴くことが出来るのは素敵なことだ。まぁ、オリジナルはある程度把握しているので、他のシンガーの歌声を聴けるのは良かったかもしれない。欲を言えば“The Dark End Of The Street”は、ジェームス・カーの歌声が良かったかなって思う。
聴いておきたいアルバムのひとつ。
