全米のジャズ・チャートで1位となった、彼女の魅力が世間に認められたアルバム。ジャズというフィールドだけでは収まらない、彼女の魅力がこのアルバムには詰まっている感じがする。
ジョニ・ミッチェルの“Black Crow”、ヴァン・モリソンの“Tupelo Honey”や、アン・ピープルズの“I Can't Stand the Rain”といった曲や、カントリー・ブルースの“Come on in My Kitchen”、“Hell Hound on My Trail”など幅広い曲を見事に歌い上げている。
演奏もジャズって感じでは無いのも、このアルバムの良いところかもしれない。
