Air Supply (Billboard Live TOKYO, 2017年12月2日, 2nd show)

　チューボーのころに大好きだったエア・サプライ。バイトして自分のお金を持つようになった頃にはブリティッシュ・ハード・ロックとか、ハード・バップとかグールドとか聴いて、そういう音楽を少し小馬鹿にしていたんで、結局エア・サプライを観たことはありませんでした。ふと聴きたくなって、行こうかと考えていた2016年の12月の来日が「病気のため公演中止」になって、はじめて「やばい」「次は必ず行かなくちゃ」と本気で思い、ようやく行ったのがこのコンサートでした。

　それがもう、予想以上のカンドーの嵐でした。二人が出てきた瞬間から鳥肌が立ってて、気が付いたら泣きそうな気分になってて。どの曲のメロディもハモリのラインも、ちゃんと英語で歌える。あのころ、よっぽど聴きこんでたんだな、自分の体の一部分になるっていうのは、こういう事だなと、改めて思いました。

　今回は、サインをもらうためにわざわざ上野で中古のレコを買って持って行ったのに、残念ながら無駄になりました。でも二人ともステージから降りて歩き回って、ずいぶん大勢の人と握手してて、僕も幸いその恩恵にあずかることができました。

ブルーノートやコットンクラブみたいに、サイン会をやったりしてくれたらいいんですがねー。
せめて、コンサートのチラシはもっと手に入りやすくしてほしい。。。
