This #62 car has a minor issue. The Mercedes badge in front of the car has been removed or maybe it just faded away. I admit it does look a bit weird without the badge but I think these castings are so hard to find these days and other than that, it is still in a pretty good condition so I just decided to buy it anyway.

The #62 car was the worst finishing of the 3 Sauber Mercedes cars entered in the race. However, this car was also the fastest in qualifying as it qualified on pole. If I remember correctly, this was also the car that was clocked at around 248 mph in the Hunaudieres Straight, part of the reason why the chicanes were added starting next year. The car encountered issues early in the race, similar to the #63 car but I believe the issues this car had required more time to fix. I'm not sure if the car had any more serious issues after this but it seems that they never really recovered too well so they only finished 5th. Still, a 1-2-5 finish is very strong especially for a car's first 24 hour race.
