国内では1988年12月にリリースされた "（Exclusive The Shocking Truth）GN'R LIES" オリジナル（バイナル）アルバム。帯付き。アルバム "Appetite For Destruction" から次のアルバム・リリースまでの繋ぎの企画モノで「G SIDE 1986」には当時既に廃盤・プレミア化していた "Live?!★@ Like A Suicide" からの音源を、「R SIDE 1988」には全て新録アコースティック・ナンバーを収録。ビルボード最高位2位。このアルバムからは "Patience" がシングル・カットされた。日本盤にはインナースリーヴと解説／歌詞が封入される。
