五日町スキー場 お土産ペナント 1970年代 20250117
「ITSUKAMACHI」(新潟県) 南魚沼市の五日町。これは五日町スキー場。八海山などの眺めが良く地元客も多かったとされるが、残念ながら2020年から休業している。 これは上越の山々を背景に滑走するスキーヤー。雪山に赤いウェアが映えて美しい。全長67.5cm。 ［1970年代頃/ #昭和100年 ］ Souvenir #pennant in Japan, my collection. 上野動物園 お土産ペナント 1970年代 20241227
「上野動物園」(東京都) 台東区の恩賜上野動物園、1882年開園。 日中国交回復を記念して1972年に来園したジャイアントパンダ、カンカン(康康)とランラン(蘭蘭)を描く作品。パンダはその可愛らしさから大ブームとなり、人気は現代に続いている。カンカンとランランはそれぞれ80年と79年に亡くなっているので、1970年代のペナントだろう。 [1970年代/ #昭和レトロ ] Souvenir #pennant in Japan, my collection. 「那須高原」(なす〜、栃木県) 那須町。これは高原と名所の殺生石(ｾｯｼｮｳｾｷ,国:名勝)の伝承と俳句を描く作品。白面金毛九尾の狐と、松尾芭蕉の弟子・麻父の作になる"飛ぶものは 雲ばかりなり 石の上"。石そのものではなく文化的側面に触れていて面白い。全長60cm。 ［1970年代頃/ #昭和レトロ ］ Souvenir #pennant in Japan, my collection. "那須高原" Nasu Highlands, Tochigi Prefecture. Nasu Highlands is located at the foot of the Nasu Mountain Range, an active volcano, and is a popular tourist destination. This pennant depicts a "Sessyo-seki" (殺生石/ Killing Stone) where volcanic gases are actively emitted. There is a terrible and famous legend that a terrifying fox with nine tails kills any creature that comes near it. Length 60cm (23.6in). This pennant was produced around 1970s. #vintage

「大島」(東京都) 伊豆諸島、大島町の伊豆大島。活火山の三原山が中心にある。 これは町の木・花に指定されている椿の花。特産の椿油の元である。添えられた歌は民謡の大島節、"私しや大島 一重の椿 八重になるき(気)はさらにない"※。鮮やかな作品。全長67cm。 ［1970〜80年代/ 昭和レトロ ］ ※ 大島節のオリジナルは "〜 一重の桜" とされるが、このペナントでは "〜 一重の椿" とアレンジ(?)されている。 Souvenir pennant in Japan, my collection. 「EXPO'70」(大阪府) 1970年開催、日本万国博覧会。 これは大高猛のデザインによるシンボルマークを主題とした作品。日本の国花の桜に基づき、日本館のモチーフにもなった。パビリオンや情景を描くことなく金色の集中線の中央にシンボルマークを構成して、とても象徴的なデザインが面白い。 "EXPO'70", Osaka Prefecture. The Japan World Exposition was held in Suita, Osaka in 1970. It was the first international exposition in Asia and attracted over 64.2 million visitors. This is a pennant featuring a symbol designed by Takeshi Otaka.

It was a popular tourist destination for sea bathing and clam picking until around the 1970s. The beach was reclaimed and lost in the 1970s, but now an artificial beach has been established.
