This pennant depicts a mock castle tower of Hirado Castle (1962, built in 1599) and the Hirado Jangara Dance. The Jangara Odori dance is designated as a national Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset. Length 61cm (24.0in). 新平家物語 (寂光院) お土産ペナント 1970年代 20250324
「新平家物語」(京都府) 吉川英治の歴史小説（連載;1950～57年）。72年にはNHK大河ドラマの原作になった。 これは京都市左京区の #寂光院 （じゃっこういん）。平清盛の娘・建礼門院徳子（ｹﾝﾚｲﾓﾝｲﾝ-,安徳天皇国母）ゆかりの寺院のもの。人気ドラマの舞台として描かれる興味深い作品。全長61cm。 [1970年代頃/ #昭和100年 ] ・経年の劣化・日焼けにより見かけはグレーだが、元は紺色（あるいは青）だったようだ。ペナントの左下に元の紺色が残っている。 ・お土産ペナントがブームになった1960年代後半から70年代にかけて、NHK大河ドラマの舞台となった場所が観光地として人気になり、それがペナントのモチーフになることがしばしば見受けられる。このペナントはそのひとつ。 【画像の説明】 1, 新平家物語・寂光院のペナント。布にイラストをプリント。旗の上下辺に黄色いモール装飾。左に黄色い編み紐2本付き。 2, イラストは寂光院庭園と建礼門院。 3, イラストの拡大。渡り廊下と"四方正面の池"が描かれているが、ペナントの日焼けのため池らしさは分かりづらい。楕円形の枠に出家姿の建礼門院と、平家物語の有名な冒頭部分「祇園精舎の鐘の声～」がくずし字で描かれている。 4, タイトルは和文。ゴシック体の漢字で "新平家物語" （赤）。キャプションは "寂光院" （黒）。 5, ペナントの右には境内の"雪見燈籠"（ゆきみとうろう）が描かれている。 ------------------------------------------------------ Souvenir #pennant in Japan, my collection. This pennant depicts Jakkoin Temple, the setting of the story, and the character Kenreimonin. Length 61cm （24.0in). The illustration is printed on cloth, with yellow fringe decoration on the upper and lower edges of the flag and two yellow braided strings on the left side. The pennant appears gray due to age and tanning, but it was originally dark blue. 2, The illustration shows the garden of Jakkoin Temple and Kenreimonin. 3, Enlarged image. The corridor and the pond of Jakkoin are depicted. In the oval frame, Kenreimonin in her ordained state and the first part of The Heike Story are written in cursive characters. 4, The title is in Japanese. 愛国から幸福ゆき (橙・緑) お土産ペナント 1970年代 20250304

These are pennants from Aikoku Station and Kofuku Station on the Hiroo Line of Japan National Railways, which became tourist destinations after the line was closed in 1987. 「Hongkong」(ホンコン、現:中国) 香港(Hong Kong)。これはイギリス植民地時代(1945〜97年)、1970年代頃のもの。水上生活者とその船が多かったことで知られた香港仔 (ﾎﾝｺﾝﾂｧｲ, アバディーン)の港を描く。海上レストランやノスタルジックな景色が観光客に人気だった。 前回に紹介したシンガポールのペナントと同じ造りなので、表記はないがおそらく日本産だろう。全長61cm。 ［1970年代頃/ #ヴィンテージ ］ Souvenir pennant in the world, my collection. シンガポール お土産ペナント 1970年代 20250126
「SINGAPORE」(シンガポール) これはシンガポール中国商工会議所の旧ビル (SCCCI; 新加坡中華總商會,1964〜2017年)。2022年からは新館に移転している。中国の"家"をモチーフにしたユニークでモダンな建物が面白い。 このペナントは前回紹介(20250125)のシンガポール国際空港(パヤ・レバー)と一括保存されていたもので、デザインコンセプトと加工がまったく同じであり、表記はないがおそらく日本産で間違いない。全長61cm。 ［1970年代頃?/ #ヴィンテージ ］ ・画像5 は、前回紹介の「シンガポール」と並べて比較するものです。 Souvenir pennant in the world, my collection. 「Singapore」(シンガポール) これはシンガポール国際空港を描く作品。ただし、1970年代頃のものなので、現行のチャンギ国際空港(Changi, 1981〜)ではなく、パヤ・レバー国際空港(Paya Lebar, 1955〜1981)だろう。裏に日本産のシールが貼られていて興味深い。全長61cm。 ［1970年代頃? / #ヴィンテージ ］ ・このペナントは、1970年代頃に日本が世界各地にお土産ペナントを生産・輸出していた事を示す貴重な例のひとつです。 Souvenir #pennant in the world, my collection. 「阿里山の旅」(ありしゃん〜、台湾) 台湾の国家風景区(国立公園)阿里山。これは阿里山郷の姊妹潭(姉妹潭)と相思亭を描く。タイトルにひらがなが使われ、日本人観光客向けの製品だろうか。透明ポリ袋に定価100ニュー台湾ドル※とプリントされ、興味深い。全長61cm。 ［1980年代?/ #ヴィンテージ ］ ※ 100ニュー台湾ドルは、当時(1980年代頃と推定)のレートで600円くらい。なお、このペナントは日本のお土産ペナントを参考にデザインされているようだ。 Souvenir #pennant in the world, my collection. ▲お土産ペナント 「横浜」(よこはま、神奈川県) 横浜市。山下公園に係留公開されている氷川丸を中心に、マリンタワーと横浜の街を描く作品。 背景の富士山はデザインだが、おそらくこのペナントが販売されていた"みなとみらい地区"の再開発以前は高層ビルがほとんどなく、よく見えていただろう。全長61cm。 ［1970〜80年代/ #昭和レトロ ］ Souvenir pennant in Japan, my collection. ▲お土産 ペナント 「FUNABASHI」(ふなばし、千葉県) 船橋市の"船橋ヘルスセンター" (1955〜77年)。温泉,屋内外プール,演芸場,遊園地等を集めた巨大レジャー施設、ランドマークだった。跡地は現:ららぽーとTOKYOｰBAYとして再開発されている。 これは本館・大コマ館を中心にゴーゴーを踊るファミリー(?)を描いて楽しい作品。全長61cm。 ［1960年代頃/ 昭和レトロ ］ Souvenir pennant in Japan, my collection. "FUNABASHI" 船橋, Chiba Prefecture. This is a pennant of Funabashi Health Center (船橋ヘルスセンター), a hot spring leisure facility that existed in Funabashi City from 1955 to 1977. It was one of the landmarks of the area, with hot springs, swimming pools, and an amusement park on its vast grounds. It is currently being redeveloped into a huge shopping mall.
