This Lamborghini Murcielago RG-1 competed in the 2008 Super GT season. The Murcielago RG-1 was initially built for GT500 regulations in 2004. Unfortunately, the car was never really successful and would frequently finish near the end of the field. For 2005, the JLOC team would add an additional RG-1 for GT300 regulations. The GT300 would find more success than the GT500 car but the best has yet to come. For 2006, JLOC would use both RG-1's in the GT300 class. In the first race of the season, one of the cars would actually win the GT300 class. Both cars would go on to finish in the points in multiple races that season. The car would also see the podium at least once in every succeeding season it was entered until it was retired after the 2009 season.

This particular casting is the #66 from the 2008 Super GT season driven by Koji Yamanishi and Atsushi Yogo. Their best finish that season would be a 3rd place in the Motegi round and they would eventually finish in a lowly 20th in the Drivers Standings and 14th in the Team Standings. The car raced alongside 2 Gallardo RG-3's, both of which performed a lot worse than the Murcielago.
