This was something I never thought would actually be officially released by someone in 1/64 scale because the real car actually wasn't too noteworthy. The real car participated in the 2001 edition of the Daytona 24 Hours. It didn't qualify particularly well and during the race, it didn't really last too long. According to the results I've seen, the car lasted around 37 laps, retiring due to an oil leak. If I already had a 911 GT1 Evo casting, I probably wouldn't have ordered this one. Still, I do think the livery is quite nice, and I'll probably add it to my collection in the future anyway since I collect Daytona 24 cars.
This casting by Sparky is relatively new and I think this might be the first release actually. If I am not mistaken, this was some sort of collaboration between Sparky and Tiny and one thing I've noticed about these collaboration models between the two is that the casting tend to be heavier than the standard Sparky releases from before. They feel Mini GT-ish to me which I think is nice. Still though, these are usually a bit more expensive than Mini GT's here so I don't really bother getting most of the models.
