The Beach Boys / Sunflower (US, Reprise Records;Brother Records, RS 6382) <August 31, 1970> その② (SIDE 1) RS-6382 31007-A-1A (SIDE 2) RS-6382 31008-B-1A 『サンフラワー』 (Sunflower) は、1970年にリリースされたザ・ビーチ・ボーイズのアルバム。 【Wikipedia】 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RO_LX-m74uw

Rickie Lee Jones / Girl At Her Volcano (US, Warner Bros. Records, 1-23805) <June 1, 1983> (1) 1-23805-A-RE1-SH2 SLM △4319 (2) 1-23805-B RE2-SH2 SLM △4319-X After touring through much of 1982 following the release of Pirates, Rickie Lee Jones released the Girl at Her Volcano EP. It contains three live recordings, a few new studio ones and recordings left over from earlier studio sessions. "Hey, Bub" was the first song originally written by Jones for Pirates in September 1979. The live recording of "Something Cool" was not included on the original vinyl EP release, but on the Musicassette release of the same year and later on CD pressings. Earlier recordings of this song can be found on June Christy's 1954 album Something Cool, and Julie London's 1960 album Around Midnight (which features also "Lush Life"). Other cover versions on the EP include the Left Banke's "Walk Away Renée" (famously covered by the Four Tops), the Drifters' classic "Under the Boardwalk", the American songbook standard "My Funny Valentine" and the little-known Lani Hall original "So Long". Joe Cocker / I Can Stand A Little Rain (A&M Records, SP-3633) その②
Joe Cocker / I Can Stand A Little Rain (A&M Records, SP-3633) その② (1) SP-3633-SP-3669-RE-1-M2 KENDON MR △19186(3) (2) SP-3633 SP-3670 RE-1 M1 KENDON MR △19186-X(7) In 1973, in the midst of uncertainty career-wise, Joe Cocker teamed up with Jim Price, a trumpet player turned producer, who had previously been member of Cocker's touring band. "Jim rekindled my interest," Cocker said in an interview for "Blank Space" in 1979. "Jim called and played me 'You Are So Beautiful', he just came round the house and said, 'What's wrong?' And he played me 'I Can Stand a Little Rain,' which turned out to be the title of the album. The two things that kind of re-fired me into work again, and consequently drove me insane in the process." I Can Stand a Little Rain found the singer working with top songwriters and session players, including Chuck Rainey, Cornell Dupree and Bernard Purdie, as well as future Toto founder members David Paich and Jeff Porcaro. Some of the writers, like Randy Newman and Jimmy Webb, ended up performing on Cocker's covers of their songs. The album is, however, particularly noticeable for the song "You Are So Beautiful", originally released on Billy Preston's The Kids & Me album. Ultimately, it went on to become one of Cocker's bigger hits, reaching No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, proving this album to eventually become a hit. The original idea was that of a double album but A&M did not approve of it. The rest of the songs recorded during the sessions were released in April 1975 on Cocker's next album Jamaica Say You Will, which was not equally successful. In 2013, "The Moon's a Harsh Mistress" was re-recorded by Jimmy Webb in a duet with Joe Cocker. It turned out to be Cocker's final recorded performance. Two of their collaborations, "Weasel and the White Boys Cool" and "Company," would later be recorded for Jones' debut album. She also sang jazz standards, as well as a song penned by her father ("The Moon Is Made of Gold") in her live sets. Jones' performances around Los Angeles aroused interest from other local songwriters, as well as local record company executives. At a label showcase, Jones performed originals, including "Chuck E.'s in Love", "The Real Thing Is Back in Town" and "The Moon Is Made of Gold." This showcase performance, plus a demo containing "The Last Chance Texaco", "Easy Money", "Young Blood" and "After Hours" led to a record deal with Warner Bros. For her major label debut, Jones scrapped "The Real Thing Is Back in Town," but used the titular line in one of the album's tracks – "Coolsville." Recording sessions (which began in September 1978) yielded eleven songs for inclusion on an album. Two of the songs – "On Saturday Afternoons in 1963" and "After Hours" – were recorded live on December 22, 1978. [Wikipedia] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBa0f2rztAE

Piazzolla, who played the bandoneon, recorded the album with his Quinteto Tango Nuevo. Paquito D'Rivera played saxophone on Rough Dancer.Pablo Ziegler and Pablo Zinger played piano; Zinger had acted as the musical director for the stage production.[citation needed]Horacio Malvicino played guitar. Piazzolla wrote in the liner notes of his desire to have the music sound as if it were played by "'half-drunk musicians in a bordello.'" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMylHDXqvuA&list=PLk1P-3is2nvHhl1M4iATJFtNVPirFaPC1&index=11
