Whitren & Cartwright / Rhythm Hymn
Jaki Whitren and John Cartwright coming from UK got a recording deal with Elektra when they were making demo materials in New York. And they released this album "Rhythm Hymn" which has crossover sound between British Pop and New York sophisticated blue-eyed soul music. When you listen to this album, I believe you feel New York City Pop of mid 80's. Track 9 "New York" and Track 10 "Goodbye Joe" are really good and they sounds like the tune recorded very recently.
